Danijela Đukić-Ćosić, PhD

Dr. Danijela Đukić-Ćosić is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade (; and Visiting Professor at the Medical Faculty in Banja Luka, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ph.D. in toxicology completed in 2011 and specialized academic studies (Toxicological Risk Assessment of Environmental Contaminants) in 2014. At the Department of Toxicology, "Akademik Danilo Soldatović" the past fifteen years she studied effects of toxic substances, especially toxic metals cadmium and opportunities to its harmful effects mitigate or eliminate.

She gives a lectures and practice work in laboratory to students from subjects: Toxicology with Analytics, Human Health Risk Assessment (Safety Assessment of Cosmetics), Substances of Abuse with Analytics, Free Radicals and Antioxidants-Laboratory Analyses, Clinical Analyses in Toxicology, Ecotoxicology. Dr. Danijela Đukić-Ćosić advocates for interactive teaching and introducing method to achieve functional connections between what they learn and apply. She strives to motivate and encourage the acquisition of new knowledge and experience of promoting that is particularly important in the way that you get to the knowledge. Also, makes that science closer to the general public. She actively participated in the Science Festival 2015 in Serbia (co-authored presentations “Nature provides the drugs, and poisons...” indicating the plant as the cause of poisoning). Dr. Danijela Đukić-Ćosić actively participates in national and international bilateral projects. She is member of many national and international associations in the field of pharmacy, toxicology and education.

Dr. Danijela Đukić-Ćosić translated the Milestones of Toxicology poster into Serbian in 2015 (see here).

She is also working on translating „A Small Dose of Toxicology“ into Serbian.
