WANMEC is made possible by Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility

With support and additional funding from INND and Toxipedia.org.
Support this project by donating to WPSR today.

The Washington Nuclear Museum and Education Center invites you to submit personal testimonials of your experiences at Hanford and how Hanford affected your family, your land, and your life. Whether you worked on the original construction of the facility, grew up in the area around Hanford, had a family member affected by radiation exposure, worked as a scientist, support staff, or manager, or are involved in the current clean up, we want to hear your stories. These submissions will not only be a part of WANMEC's exhibit but will become a permanent part of the undocumented history of Hanford, providing an intimate glimpse into the lives, emotions, and thoughts of those affected by the nuclear efforts that took place along the Columbia River.

Below are some guidelines and suggestions for your testimonials:
• Keep your submissions between 500 and 750 words.
• Outline your relationship to Hanford and describe how it has shaped or affected your life, positively or negatively.
• Thoughts, feelings, and emotions in regards to Hanford are welcomed and encouraged.
• It is your choice how personal you would like to make your testimonial. Remember that these will be posted on WANMEC for the public to see and learn from. Anonymous submissions are accepted as long as you provide some basic information about yourself (i.e. Richland resident 1945-1953, Hanford engineer).
• Email all submissions to mmergel@toxipedia.org. The curator for this project is available for editing assistance and will communicate with you to post your testimonial to the site.

We appreciate your contributions to and participation in this collaborative exhibit.

The WANMEC is project of INND/Toxipedia and is supported through the Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility and a WA Department of Ecology grant.
