A multi-agency inspection at Hanford nuclear reservation found violations of hazardous-waste management laws that could cost the Department of Energy $367,078 in civil penalties. These included storage of dangerous waste without a permit, failure to make a dangerous-waste determination and failure to have an up-to-date contingency plan.
