Scientists affiliated with the Food Ingredient and Health Research Institute are working on a number of research projects.  One study recently completed involved a review of the USDA pesticide residue data to determine the most common source of Organo Phosphate (OP) pesticide exposure.  The findings appear to be both surprising and significant.  The researchers presented their preliminary findings in poster format at the Society of Toxicology conference March 6-10, 2011.  To view the poster click on this link   Organophosphate Exposure From Grain Consumption

An article is also being prepared and will undergo the peer review process when it is submitted for publication to an appropriate journal.  Consumers can limit their exposure to OP by avoiding consumption of conventionally grown food crops.
