Juliana was Born in Brazil and raised in Seattle, WA where she attended University of Washington. She joined the Toxipedia crew in 2012 as an editor, researcher, and to manage the development and launch of Toxipedia in Español .  A committed activist, she has started to work on projects to preserve Brazil and USA's environment and wildlife. She is very passionate about global wildlife conservation and environmental justice and human health resources. In 2013, she took on World Library of Toxicology where she oversees and works with an international group of scientists (Country Correspondents). World Library of Toxicology seeks to overcome barriers to the sharing of information between countries by creating a partnership of national and international organizations contributing high-quality scientific information resources in toxicology and environmental health to a borderless data depository. The overall goal is to improve global public health.
