Overview
Ira Remsen, (February 10, 1846 - March 4, 1927) along with Constantin Fahlberg discovered Saccharin in 1879. Ira Remsen, was born in New York City and earned a Doctor of Medicine from College of Physicians and Surgeons but worked as a chemist in Germany. He was the second president of Johns Hopkins University.
