Gula was the consort of the powerful Babylonian God Ninib and was known as the Goddess of Healing by the ancient Mesopotamians. Also known as "The Lady who restores life," Gula was said to have helped breathe life back into Babylon after the Great Flood and is the patroness of herbs, healing, and life.
