Dan Becker's background is in health advocacy and science writing. Last summer, he interned at the Center for Health, Environment & Justice, and is currently interning in NYC with the Blacksmith Institute. He is also the current Editorial Administrator for the Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences.

Dan holds a BA in the Anthropology and Science & Society programs from Bard College. His coursework focused on medical anthropology, biology, and creative writing, and he hopes to pursue a career in some combination of the latter two. In his free time, Dan reads short stories and prose essays, practices writing and photography, and maintains an interest in disease ecology and parasitology. He can be reached at djb757@gmail.com.
