Toxipedia, IPMopedia, and the upcoming World Library of Toxicology wanted to wish all of you a happy Earth Day and thank you for supporting our endeavors.Since Senator Gaylord Nelson started the Earth Day campaign in 1970, serious challenges have spurred considerable progress as we work towards a healthier world. Advances in science and technology have created a seemingly endless parade of threats to personal and environmental health. Thankfully, these same technological advances spawned the internet, mobile phones, and other tools that disseminate information and educate people about threats. We now have both the knowledge and the tools to make lasting changes in how we interact with our environment.

To reach the Earth Day campaign's goal of a healthy and sustainable environment, we are asking you to submit thoughts on the current state of the environmental and public health movement by writing a short [editorial|this is my health]. We will post your [editorial|this is my health] on our [editorials page|this is my health] and highlight it on Toxipedia's home page on a rotating basis.

Thank you for your time and have a wonderful Earth Day!

Sincerely,

The Toxipedia and [IPMopedia|http://toxipedia.org/display/ipmopedia/IPM+Education+Project] Team
