Annual

Annuals are plants that are often started by seed in the early spring or bought as young plants in nurseries. The plant will complete its life cycle in one year- growing, flowering, and dying. The plant will leave seeds behind when it dies so that germination will occur the following spring, beginning the life cylce over again. Annuals are commonly planted in the spring and summer as a way to incorporate color into the garden. Often the plants are sold in the flowering stage so there is no waiting for it to bloom.
